Update & Back Up Your UFC 6 Knockout Script

Keep a working Knockout baseline, record menu settings and test UFC 6 script updates without losing your combo activators or previous timing values.

Keep your working GPC file and a record of your settings before loading an update. The downloaded file and the values saved through the Zen menu are different things. A copy of the original source file alone is not a reliable record of every adjustment you made on the device.

Record the working setup

Write down the file name and download date, console, controller layout and selected memory slot. For each included preset, record its supplied activation control and whether it is enabled.

For four-slot combinations, note the current Hold and Wait values. Also record Southpaw and your Flow State setting. If you have several files for different fighters, keep a separate note for each rather than merging their settings into one list.

Close the menu to save, then reconnect and verify your current configuration still behaves as expected. That confirms you are preserving a working baseline rather than an unsaved experiment.

Obtain the update from your existing access

Use the purchasing Whop account and update information supplied with Knockout. Read any accompanying release notes for changes to configuration, controls or supported tooling. Keep the new file in a separate folder or give your local copy a date-based name so it is distinguishable from the older download.

Do not assume a game update always requires a script update, or that a firmware update and script update are the same operation. First identify what changed and why you are updating. Use the current official Cronus instructions if the programming tools require firmware work.

Load into a separate slot when possible

Program the new file using the installation guide. If a free slot is available, use it for comparison while keeping the old slot intact. If you must replace a slot, verify your backup and notes first.

Check the new menu before restoring old values. Included presets or available settings may differ between releases. Check the supplied reference and test the default timing before restoring saved values.

Run a short acceptance check

  1. Test ordinary controller input through the connection.
  2. Confirm the new script and slot are active.
  3. Run your baseline preset with its expected activator.
  4. Verify the stance mapping using a simple lead/rear attack check.
  5. Test Flow State separately from combo chords.
  6. Inspect four-slot timing values before changing them.
  7. Close the menu to save, reconnect and repeat the baseline.

If the new configuration behaves differently, compare one setting at a time. Use the same fighter and starting conditions for both files. Restoring an older file will not undo a change to the game or console software, so record those versions when reporting a regression.

Keep the notes useful

A small text note is enough: date, file, fighter, stance, combo, chord, timing and observed result. Mark values as your tested setup rather than recommendations for every user. When you deliberately retire an older file, keep its note long enough to understand why you changed it.

FAQ

Does my downloaded GPC contain every value I changed on the Zen?

Do not assume so. Keep a separate record of device-menu changes and use your programming tool's backup facilities where available.

Should I copy old Hold and Wait values to a new combo?

Start with the new combo's defaults. Different move orders can use different timing, and Hold affects the ending phase rather than uniformly scaling the whole sequence.
