UFC 6 Combo Timing: What Hold and Wait Actually Change

Understand Knockout's four-slot Hold and Wait controls, fixed shorter sequences and a repeatable method for tuning without guessing universal values.

Oct 4, 2026-3 min readBy Knockout-About the Knockout script

Knockout exposes Hold and Wait for four-slot UFC 6 combinations. Shorter combinations use their sequence timing and do not have those menu controls. Check the move count in the preset reference before looking for timing settings.

Hold is not the speed of every strike

Hold represents the total active duration of a four-slot sequence. Changing it adjusts the last active phase while leaving the preceding phases intact. The allowed minimum prevents it from truncating those earlier phases.

That means reducing Hold is not a way to make every punch faster. If the first or second move is wrong, inspect the move list, fighter, stance and control layout first. Do not expect a change to the last phase to repair an earlier input mismatch.

The script's defaults retain the timing of the selected moves or a matching sequence profile. Different sequences can therefore start with different values. There is no single Hold number that should be copied into every combination.

Wait is the ending pause

Wait is the final neutral pause after the active sequence. It does not insert a delay between each pair of strikes. A value of zero skips that extra ending pause; it does not make the fighter recover instantly or bypass the game's action timing.

During this pause, the script suppresses the strike channels it owns rather than freezing the entire controller. Left-stick movement and R2 remain available in the UFC 6 sequence system. The extra pause also keeps the sequence busy, so another combo is not queued during it.

The final menu Wait comes after the active sequence. Use the preset reference to check which included combinations contain four moves.

A controlled tuning method

  1. Write down the downloaded Hold and Wait values for the selected combo.
  2. Verify the sequence at those defaults with one fighter and a consistent starting position.
  3. Identify the actual problem: a wrong move, a missed target, an extended final input, or a delay before another activation.
  4. If the problem concerns the ending behavior, change one timing value by a small amount allowed by the menu.
  5. Repeat the same situation several times. Record the new value and what changed.
  6. Return to the baseline if the change does not improve that specific problem.
  7. Close the menu to save, reconnect, and check one more attempt.

Keep distance and stamina consistent during the comparison. Increasing a timer cannot bring an out-of-range target closer, and a script cannot override the game when a fighter cannot perform the requested action.

When to leave timing alone

If a shorter preset is working as intended, the absence of timing fields is normal. If a four-slot sequence works manually but not from its activator, confirm the active slot, enabled mod and fresh button press before editing Hold or Wait.

If a game update changes your results, preserve the working file and previous values, then retest one condition at a time. Use the update checklist to avoid losing your baseline.

FAQ

Why can I not see Hold and Wait on Triple Uppercut?

Triple Uppercut is a three-move preset. The adjustable Hold and Wait controls are for four-slot combinations.

Does Wait zero let me instantly chain another combo?

It removes the script's optional ending pause. You still need a fresh activation and the fighter remains subject to in-game recovery and action availability.
